Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the member’s hard drive containing information about the member. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the member closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If you reject the cookie, you may still use our site. The only drawback to this is that you will be limited in some areas of our site. For example, you may not be able to participate in Sweepstakes, Contests or monthly Drawings that may take place. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our members to enhance the experience on our site. Some of our business partners could use cookies on our site (for example, advertisers). However, we have no access to or control over these cookies.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site, track member’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Sharing

We may share aggregated demographic information with our sponsors, partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. We may partner with another party to provide specific services. When a member signs up for these services, we may share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

From time-to-time our site requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the member therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. No member is obliged to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in a survey or contest. However, there is unfortunately no way yet for the industry to guarantee that the information you transmit through the Internet is entirely secure. Members are responsible for securing the confidentiality of their password and account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under their password or account. It is strongly recommended that members take extra precautions when receiving files from unfamiliar third parties (i.e., via email), as they may be harmful.
